About the Artist
Jermie Jermaine is a visual artist based in Guanajuato, Mexico. His practice spans mixed media, painting, sculpture, and works on paper, engaging surreal and naïve visual languages through intuitive image-making and deliberate material choices.
Working across formats and scales, Jermaine approaches each piece as a physical construction rather than a fixed image. Materials are allowed to assert themselves—through texture, weight, and imperfection—while compositions remain carefully edited and intentional. The resulting works often move between the familiar and the disquieting, combining directness with ambiguity.
Rather than adhering to a single medium or narrative, the practice develops through sustained experimentation and observation. Drawing, painting, and sculptural elements coexist as parallel modes of thinking, each informing the other. This fluid approach allows the work to remain open, resisting definitive interpretation while maintaining a coherent visual language.
Selected works by Jermie Jermaine are held in private collections. A limited number of pieces are available for acquisition.
